Hey
peeps!
Today is the first day of the most
beautiful and the last month of the year. I have decided to share with you, my
husband and I's 25 days of service/challenge. I will try to do a post every day
and I hope you guys like it. Click here if you need any other ideas
of what to do each day till Christmas.
As today the date is December 1st and it is the Worldwide Day
of Service, I looked at some ideas on the link above of what could we do and we
decided to go with sharing on social media when prayer helped us carry a
burden.
Jesus Lifted Others' Burdens
and So can You!
I want you all to know that I KNOW
that prayer is the best way to communicate with our Heavenly Father. Like I
said in my first blog post, I moved in US 10 months ago. I left my family to
come here and get a better education and create my own family. I still remember
the last day I was in Albania and my mom was with me at the airport. When I
hugged her, I felt like I was going to spend a night at my friends house or
something like that, but never thought that I wouldn't be able to get her hugs
every morning, and her advice. When I was on the plane, all I was thinking was
if it was all worth it?!
10 months here away from my family
has made a huge difference in my life, and has probably affected me the most.
There are uncountable nights I have spent crying just because I miss them so
much! Not only that, but I have felt like I betrayed my dad for not going to
his grave for so long. Buuut... let me tell something to you. I have prayed for
spiritual calmness and I have felt that I am never alone. Besides my lovely
husband, I have a lovely Heavenly Father that takes care of me. He is there for
me all the time. Through prayers I have received a great and endless comfort
that has led me to the understanding that even though I am away from them, they
love me and I love them. Families
are together Forever! I
have a strong testimony that I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for praying
to God. In one of the hymns at church there is this awesome verse that touches
my heart and I truly believe it " Prayer can change the night to
day!". Prayer is something we can all do, regardless of our religious, and
it can have an immediate impact in our lives.
Seth posted on his social media:
I get
seizures... a lot more than I would like. The only thing that can get me
through them is having faith in Christ and in his atonement. Without that... I
would be Lost. Thankfully this medicine helps out a lot. But even with this
medicine, it is still a heavy burden to carry at times for me and my wife @teateaa_ . Between the seizures being as scary
as they are and the physical and mental pain that comes with them, sometimes
they seem almost unbearable. I know I wouldn't be able to if it were not for a much better medicine than
the one in this bottle... prayer. God , Our Father in Heaven, loves us and
wants to help us and talk to us and all we have to do is choose to talk to him
through prayer. We can all receive the help we need to make our burdens lighter
through prayer and Faith in Christ. I have seen it in my life and know it to be
true and I know with a surety that everyone else can too as the door is wide
open. Please try it out I promise that it's worth it. #lighttheworld#heavyburdens #iamamormon #seizures
Let your light shine bright this holiday season. Thanks for reading!
