Hi world! :)
My name is Tea Myers, and I’m married to my handsome husband
named Seth Myers. We have always wanted to have a blog when we could share our
happiness with people in the world, and maybe help those in need of some of the
things that we experience. So, I hope that you enjoy it!
Like I mentioned, my name is Tea and I’m 19 years old. I was
born in a small town in Albania called Lushnje. For those of you that don’t know
where Albania is, Albania is a country in Southeastern Europe bordered by
Montenegro, Kosovo and Greece. I was born in a happy orthodox family, where I also
have an older brother. My family is the best example of how a family should be.
When I was 10 years old, I lost my dad from pancreatic cancer. Dad was my favorite
and it was really hard for me to give him up but even though I was young I knew
that my dad’s death was as hard for my mom and brother maybe even more so than
it was for me and I knew I needed to be strong for them. Yes, life was really
hard without him. My mom did everything she could to see me and my brother
happy. After a couple of years when I was about 14, I had a visit from two
young men that were serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints. I knew in my heart that they were sent from God. I didn’t hesitate
to take the lessons from them. After a lot of weeks of prayers, I got an answer
from God and I decided to make one of the best decisions I have ever made, which
was, to get baptized. I became very active in the church, and I knew that someday
I was going to marry a member of this church. That day came, when I met the guy
of my dreams. At that time, he was a missionary in the Adriatic South Mission,
and I never thought he would be my husband. Back then, I used to call him Elder
Myers. He served most of his mission in Kosovo and for about 4 months he served
in Lushnje. Remember? Where I’m from lol I always helped missionaries a lot because I think
Albania is not an easy country to share the gospel in because the big
differences of religion being that there are a lot of Muslims there and also
Albanian is really hard. Therefore, I helped him and his companion a lot with
lessons, activities etc. I got to know him more than just a person. I got to
know his heart and the love he had for everyone which was indescribable! I was
amazed! Due to medical issues he unfortunately had to return to America much
sooner than planned. The sad fact was that he had developed a condition of seizures,
which was caused from an attack by a group of Islamic extremists in Kosovo. Lucky
for me this is when we were able to get to know each other as “real people”. I started
calling him Seth, and I don’t know if there was a single day after he got back
that we didn’t talk to each other since we were 9,141 km away from each other. Let’s
talk about him now.
He was born in Provo, Utah. He comes from an awesome family where he is the
only, spoiled child lol As he describes, he grew up most of his time in Arizona.
Even though he was born in the church, he never was really active. When he was
around 18, he became very active in the church and obviously he served a
mission. He is such an awesome grown man now, that makes such an awesome husband.
He loves sports and played basketball in high school, and also tennis. There are
lots of certificates for him being the best in sports and also in English class,
French class etc. Politics? Oops, that’s his favorite thing to talk about. He can
talk for hours and hours, and never gets tired of it. That’s why his major is
Political Science and his biggest dream is to be a successful lawyer which we
will find out where he is going to school pretty soon. Exciting ^_^
Now lets begin from when I got my USA Visa. That was awesome. All the dreams of being together were going to be true. I came in America 8 months ago and after 3 months of being here, we got married. I knew he was the right one and I knew he had the same feeling. We got sealed in Gilbert Arizona Temple at May, 6 , 2016 and definitely it was the best day of our lives. Since we have been married, we love each other more and more every day.
We are really grateful for the blessings in our life and we would love to share it with others.
Loves,
Myers family :)
